Bandia is home to a variety of species including giraffes, rhinos, zebras, nyalas and ostriches among a host of wildlife.
Located on the southeastern bank of the Senegal River, the Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its avian diversity. Spanning 16,000 hectares, this wetland is a critical habitat for over 1.5 million birds, including pelicans, flamingos, and various migratory species. Pendjari National Park, part of the larger W-Arly-Pendjari (WAP) complex, is one of West Africa’s premier wildlife destinations.
