ACCRA – TAMALE – MOLE
Head to the airport by 7:30 and take a 9:30AM flight to Tamale. Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the Tamale airport by a Zaina Lodge representative and transferred to the Mole.
Overnight at Zaina Lodge. Meals Included: Lunch and Dinner.
MOGNORI VILLAGE – AFTERNOON SAFARI
After early morning breakfast, visit the Mognori Eco Village, a farming village relatively close to the south-eastern border of Mole National Park and is rich with the Hanga clan. The current residents are descendants of a Moshi
hunter who settled on the Murugu land before the slave raids of the 18th century. You will have the opportunity to experience a village canoe adventure. Afterwards, you will embark on a community walk where you will have the opportunity
to see the unique traditional mud houses. The houses are built in the traditional mud-brick Sahelian style, and life is lived in a traditional Sahelian way.
Return to the lodge and have lunch before you proceed to embark on an afternoon jeep safari. Take a guided afternoon safari. The afternoon safari begins at 3:00 pm and lasts for an hour, in order not to disturb the animals unduly.
An armed guide in a rental jeep escorts tourists on this adventure, which is booked for at the Information Centre. Tourists have the choice of viewing the animals from the roof of the jeep or from the inside, as most of the rental
jeeps have rooftop seating. Some of the animals that visitors may see on this safari are buffaloes, hyenas, roan antelopes, leopards, elephants and hartebeest.
Overnight at Zaina Lodge. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
MORNING SAFARI – TAMALE – ACCRA
After breakfast, depart for an early morning safari. The drive safari involves a drive through the Park. If you ride on a Jeep, you are likely to see more animals than you would if you were walking, and you would certainly cover a large distance in a shorter space of time. Animals that you may see on a Day Safari are birds, roan antelopes, hartebeests, kobs, elephants, baboons, warthogs and monkeys. Return to the lodge, enjoy breakfast and relax. At 12:00 noon, check out and be transferred to the Tamale airport for a 5:00pm flight to Accra
