DAY 1                        AKWAABA – WELCOME
Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer from airport to your hotel for welcome drink and orientation. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2                           ACCRA CITY TOUR

After breakfast depart hotel for a sightseeing city tour of Accra. You will drive through the administrative and economic districts of Accra, the capital of Ghana. Over 100 years old, this city has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history.  You will visit the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. After lunch in a local Ghanaian restaurant, you will end your tour at the Arts Center where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills to shop from an open-air market for artifacts from Ghana and West Africa. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 3                          KUMASI – MOLE

After breakfast, depart on a drive further north through Techiman to Damongo. Following lunch, visit Mole National Park to embark on an afternoon trek to view West Africa’s big game: elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, wart hogs baboons, monkeys and more. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 4                           MOLE GAME PARK – DOMONGO – LARABANGA

Embark on an early morning trek for another day of viewing West Africa’s big game. After the trek, return to your hotel for a late breakfast. Later, visit the ancient villages of Damongo and Larabanga. Witness the traditional way of life of these rural communities. See the historic mosque and mystic stone situated in Larabanga.  Return to Mole National Park. After lunch, spend the rest of the afternoon either relaxing at the pool or take another trek to view the friendly baboons, elephants, and more. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 5                           TAMALE CRAFT SHOPPING

After breakfast, check out and depart Kumasi for a drive to Tamale, the capital of the Dagomba State. Visit the Center for National Culture to see how Northern Culture evolved.  There you will find the well known Northern traditional attire known as the “fugu” (or smock) being designed, dyed and sewed by hand. At the main handicraft market you will be able to shop for straw products, leather goods, and carvings from the Mossi people. After your lunch, visit Kukuo, a suburb of Tamale. See first-hand the mastery and craftsmanship involved in pottery making and dying process.  Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 6        TAMALE – BOLGATANGA – OUAGADOUGOU

After breakfast, check out and embark on a drive further north. Stopover for lunch in Bolgatanga before continuing on to the animated capital city of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.  Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 7                             OUAGADOUGOU CITY TOUR

After breakfast, depart for a sightseeing tour of Ouagadougou, the traditional capital of the Mossi Empire. Visit the Grand Marche, the Musee National, President's Sankara’s grave and more. After lunch, spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 8      ‘W’ PARC NATIONAL D’ARLI IN BURKINA FASO 

After breakfast at your hotel, check out for a drive to W Parc  D’Arli. En-route, stopover at Fada Ngourma for lunch. Arrive at the park in time for a late afternoon trek through the game park.  Parc D'Aril is home to hippos, lions, elephants, monkeys, buffalos, leopards and more. After the trek, spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 9        PARC NATIONAL DU "W" IN NIGER                   

Enjoy breakfast, then depart for a morning visit to the Parc National du “W” in Niger. Explore this incredible game park  and its large population of elephants, buffalos, big roan antelopes and duikers, large troops of baboons as well as hippos and wart hogs. After lunch, depart Parc D'Arli for a drive to Niger's capital city  of Niamey. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 10                                       NIAMEY CITY TOUR

After breakfast, depart your hotel to explore the treasures of Niamey on a city tour. Visit the Grand Marche, the Musee National and the Centre Culturel Franco-Nigerien. This centre has an active schedule that includes exhibits by local artists and craftsmen, dance and theater performances, and regular film screenings. After a late lunch, spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 11        PENDJARI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to the historic Pendjari National Park, one of West Africa’s surviving tropical savannas. Take a walk through this forest to discover the wide variety of significant big game. At Penjadri, you will have a good chance of spotting elephants, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, lions, warthogs, monkeys, antelopes and other exotic wildlife. After lunch, spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 12      THE SOMBA (TATA SOMBA)

After breakfast, depart for a drive through Natitingou to visit the homeland of the Tata Somba ethnic group. This authentic and charming part of the country suits the independent traveler because it has almost no tourist infrastructure. After lunch, tour the tribal villages and explore the unique architectural style of region. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 13                         GANVIE

After breakfast, depart for Ganvie (the village on water) located in the southern part of Benin. Witness first-hand as the people of Ganvie carry out their daily routines in dugout canoes piled high with wares, transacting commerce with one another and tourists. You will enjoy shopping on the floating market and taking a relaxing canoe ride on the waterways of this exotic 300-year-old village. Return to Cotonou for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Cotonou.
